Aimée Steven signs collaboration deal with Jacaranda Records

[25 Oct 2019]

Rising Indie-Pop star Aimée Steven has signed for Jacaranda Records.

Following a run of three increasingly successful releases with former label At Large, the Liverpool based singer/songwriter has joined the Jacaranda roster to launch the next phase of her career, with a new immersive 3D audio single set to launch next month and some big plans for 2020 already on the starting blocks.

“It’s an exciting time and I’m delighted to be making the step up to Jacaranda Records. The last year has been fantastic, but working with a larger label, getting access to their skills and technology, and having a bigger team behind me is going to be a big help as I look to take the next step,” said Aimée.

“The new single sounds amazing and I can’t wait to get started.”

With an amplified sound, a soulful Francophile style and an articulate take on the issues facing many young women today, since hitting the scene earlier this year the singer has cut her teeth with a run of festival performances, appearing at Liverpool International Music Festival, Kendal Calling and Sound City this summer. Hard work has translated to some serious progress, and her tenacity has seen her earn a slew of radio plays across 6 Music, BBC London, Amazing Radio, BBC Merseyside and BBC Lancashire in the past five months.

Jacaranda Records Capomaestro Ray Mia said: “The fact that she has talent and ability go without saying. What’s different about Aimée Steven is her approach. She may not have picked up a guitar until she was 15 and she certainly doesn’t have any experience of the music business, but in less than 8 months she has learned how to dig in, apply herself, collaborate, and work positively with others in a way some people take a lifetime to fail to do.

“She’s articulate, thoughtful, and a delight to work with. What’s not to like?”

Aimée Steven’s new track Better Off Dead comes out on the 1st of November this year. Her previous singles are available here.
