Three Times, the latest single from Liverpool Indie Rock Outfit Waiting Till Marriage, is out today on Jacaranda Records.
Taking a route previously unseen from the band, Three Times is a response to those who told frontman Adam Johnson to give up on music, sort his life out and get a real job, telling the story of a time in his life where he was debating whether to give up on music as a career.
Fortunately for all concerned: he didn’t, and the result is a raw and relatable tune with real charm that is being compared to some of the best works from the likes of The Strokes and Courteeners.
Give them a try. Influenced by world music and a phalanx of acts ranging from Peace and The Vaccines to Rex Orange County, Johnson tells stories of joyful heartbreak in a delightful style. Tew’s unique playing style, Brady’s uplifting bass lines and Kearney’s distinct drive make WTM a fresh quartet you’ll love.
