The Jacaranda
The Jacaranda is a Liverpool icon, standing at the heart of the city’s vibrant live music scene.
Renowned as the venue where The Beatles' story began, Jacaranda has upheld its 60-year tradition of nurturing new talent. With open-mic nights every Sunday and live performances in the basement from 7 PM most evenings, it remains a launchpad for up-and-coming artists.
Located on Slater Street, Jacaranda's entrance leads to a lively ground-floor bar serving a wide variety of cocktails, alongside hot drinks for a more laid-back vibe.
Every Friday night, The Jacaranda's basement comes alive with The Indie Rock Circus—and it’s totally free. A live indie band blasts the biggest indie anthems from the 90s to now, featuring Liverpool’s hottest young talent. The energy’s electric, the crowd’s bouncing wall-to-wall, and every song turns up the vibe. Get ready for massive tunes, pure energy, and an unforgettable night.
Every Saturday at midnight, The Jacaranda’s basement becomes The Rock N Roll Circus. Liverpool’s working musicians—fresh off their own gigs—come together to form a one-night-only supergroup. You’ll never know who’ll show up; past lineups have featured members of The Mysterines, Jalen Ngonda, The Lemon Twigs, and Red Rum Club joining the band for the night. They play rock ‘n’ roll anthems from the 1960s to today, making each night a unique journey through the decades. Fans come from all over to catch this legendary Jacaranda event. The music’s raw, the vibe is unbeatable, and entry is completely free. Get ready for a rock night like no other.
Above the bar is Jacaranda Record Store, open seven days a week and showcasing one of Liverpool’s best selections of vinyl. In addition to browsing records, visitors can enjoy a vinyl and cocktails experience, where a rotating monthly cocktail menu is inspired by artists who have performed at Jacaranda Baltic. Whether you’re here for the music or the drinks, every visit offers a fresh, immersive way to experience both.
