Jacaranda Records Presents Exclusive Performance on John Lennon's Last Piano by Brad Kella
We are thrilled to announce a very special event featuring Liverpudlian virtuoso pianist Brad Kella, taking place on Friday, 28th March at The Beatles Story in Liverpool. This historic occasion will see Brad become the first person in over a decade to play John Lennon’s last piano.
The instrument, displayed at The Beatles Story since 2015, was last played by Lennon just hours before his passing in 1980. It has also been used by music icons David Bowie, Bob Dylan, and Elton John.
Brad shared his excitement about the upcoming event:
“I cannot believe I'm going to play on John Lennon's piano. It's such a privilege and honour knowing how many massive songs have come from that piano.”
Mary Chadwick, General Manager of The Beatles Story, added:
“It is a great honour to welcome Brad Kella to our exhibition to play John Lennon’s iconic last piano. The whole team is excited to witness it played live for the first time in over a decade.”
Fans can register now to be notified when free tickets go live on Friday, 21st March at 10 AM.
Brad’s journey from Liverpool’s streets to nationwide recognition began when he was discovered on social media, leading to his victory on Channel 4’s The Piano. His story, overcoming challenges in the foster system and homelessness, has inspired many.
