Indie-rock singer-songwriter Aimée Steven has released her new single, Hell Is A Teenage Girl.
After starting 2020 with celebratory performances alongside the likes of Liverpool-based The Florrie Guitar Orchestra and The Roswell Project, the new single is a tribute to the epic cast of women in music.
Drawing influence from the past decade’s female-driven cult classics, Jennifer’s Body included, the single epitomises the chaotic neutral woman.
Released before International Women’s Day (8th March), Aimée Steven says: “hopefully the video will reflect that. I love that line – Hell Is A Teenage Girl – though, I always thought it would make a great title for a song.”
In partnership with Aimée’s favoured football club, Hell Is A Teenage Girl will debut across Liverpool FC channels, at 9PM GMT. You can also preview her new video on LFCTV Go and LFCTV’s YouTube channel.
An impressive feat for the artist, who started her music career merely 10 months ago with her new-found bandmates James Morris, Martin Gordon and Robyn Wilkinson. In the short time following their formation, Aimée released four tracks in a whirlwind debut year that has seen her win support from national radio and press, secure a raft of summer festival slots, and earn prized media status as “one to watch” in 2020.
Hell Is A Teenage Girl was performed and written by Aimée Steven
Produced by Jon Withnall
The track is available to stream or download via Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon, Deezer and all major streaming services.
